Day 1: Arrival + cooking class

Fly into Guatemala City (GUA) by 1pm local time to meet our group for shuttle to head to Antigua. We'll settle into our cozy boutique hotel before heading out for a walking tour to shake off the long travel day. Enjoy some free time and a bit of souvenir shopping at the local artisan market before our welcome dinner - a rooftop cooking class!

Day 2: Coffee tour + hike

Thanks to it's nutrient rich soil and favorable conditions, Guatemala is home to some of the best coffee in the world! Today we'll have the opportunity to visit a local, family run coffee farm to learn about their process from farm to cup! After visiting the farm, we'll continue our education in caffeination with a visit to the family's home, where we'll help with the roasting and grinding process before enjoying the delicious fruits of our labor - the perfect cup of Guatemalan coffee! After lunch, enjoy an optional hike to an epic viewpoint overlooking all of Antigua, followed by free time for massages, shopping, or downtime before our group dinner at one of the best hidden gems in town.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Atitlán

Enjoy a slower morning after our speakeasy night cap, with breakfast at your leisure and time to squeeze in some last minute cafe visits or souvenir shopping before we board our transfer to the lake. We'll stop along the way for a breathtaking viewpoint before arriving in Panajachel to meet our boat to take us to our accommodations for the next three nights...an incredibly special place known as the most magical hotel in Guatemala!

Day 4: Lake day adventures!

Get ready for an epic day of adventure, where we'll hop on a boat to check out the coolest villages around the lake - each with its own unique vibe and incredible views. After lunch, we'll visit local markets where you can find some amazing handcrafted souvenirs or gifts for friends back home. As the day winds down, those feeling adventurous can jump on ATVs for an unforgettable sunset ride before our final dinner together as a group (for now!)

Day 5: Choose your own adventure!

ATVs Pacaya.jpg

Today is all about what inspires you - a cacao ceremony in San Marcos? A volcano hike or ATV tour? Massages in the phenomenal hotel spa that our past guests have described as "life changing" and "a true spiritual experience"? The choice is yours - today is intentionally unstructured to allow you the freedom to make your final full day in Guatemala one that you'll never forget! Whatever you choose - we'll reconvene for our farewell dinner and private hot tub experience at the end of the day!

Day 6: Departure

While this adventure may be coming to an end, we don't believe in goodbyes - this is just a "see you later!" Plan for your departing flight to leave after 3pm as we make our way back to Guatemala City. If you're extending your adventure, be sure to talk to your trip leader for recommendations on places to stay within Guatemala, or traveling onward to nearby destinations like Belize or Mexico.
